The architecture of Boerum Place, designed by Brent Buck and his studio, is expertly composed with Cobble Hill's surroundings in mind, while subtly asserting itself as a new icon. Graciously occupying an entire city block, the building features meticulously hand-laid brick facades and considered surface treatments that favor simplicity and craft.
This is a structure built to last. Longevity, durability, and timelessness carry through every moment, from foundation to roof, to millwork detailing and floral blooms.
Time-Honored
Material
At Boerum Place, curved bricks soften the lines and shadows of the building’s corners, adding a contemporary twist that sets it apart from its surroundings. Subtle shifts in depth between the brickwork, window frames, and glass provide the building with a layered effect that comes to life when touched by sunlight.

A layered visage
The use of brick across the facades of Boerum Place results in an appearance that complements its enduring neighbors. Brick is a material that invites experimentation—its versatility of pattern and rhythm creating moments of intrigue through playful details.
"Brooklyn has this amazing, time-honored tradition of Masons. as architects, how can we utilize those craftspeople in a way that is more contemporary and more modern?"
—Brent Buck

A distinctive entrance
Mirroring the historic door hoods found throughout Brooklyn, the entrance to Boerum Place magnifies the classic arch to create a grand moment of welcome. This architectural gesture serves as a portal that connects the authentic New York neighborhood to the artfully crafted interiors within. Continuing through the lobby, the distinctive arch guides the sightlines to a lush central courtyard.
Boerum Place is home to twenty-one elegantly considered residences, ranging from two to five bedrooms. The amenities are split between the foundation and ground floor, while residences occupy the ground level to the sixth floor.
The verdant central courtyard allows natural light into the lower-level amenity spaces, an uncommon design solution rarely found in urban spaces. Above, the rooftop holds a private residential terrace featuring a plunge pool and grilling station, offering a rare blend of privacy and outdoor living in the heart of New York City.

Brook Landscape's sculptural viewing gardens offer an unexpected display of multi-seasonal blooms. Landscaped beds flank the grand arched entrance that guides both residents and visitors inside, while private terraces are adorned with climbing plants that contrast the brickwork with greenery. In the central courtyard, a cascading waterfall creates a serene soundscape, with crushed aggregates—featuring varied stones and Manhattan schist—that evoke a wild texture inspired by the mountains of Patagonia.
"We focus on creating beautiful gardens that people inhabit, and we focus on trying to create a lot of usable space in areas that are often underutilized."
—Brook Klausing

Across the rooftop, the Penthouse private rooftop terrace is open to sweeping views of the Brooklyn cityscape. Plantings are strategically placed to improve privacy, while lounge seating, a dining area, and a grilling station provide the ideal setting for entertaining al fresco. The plunge pool provides the perfect spot to cool off on a hot summer's day or a peaceful setting to unwind in the evening.

Every residence at Boerum Place includes thoughtfully designed, private outdoor space. These terraces and loggias effortlessly connect with the interior living areas to facilitate a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living—a coveted luxury in New York City.
